Pushkar Fair or Pushkar Cattle Fair or Pushkar Camel Fair or Pushkar Ka Mela is a widely famous fair celebrated in Rajasthan. The host place of this most popular and colorful fair of Rajasthan is the beautiful town of Pushkar.


Every year in the month of October or November, Pushkar host Pushkar Camel Fair on the holy ghats of Pushkar Lake. The Fair starts on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi and goes on for five days till Kartik Purnima. The postcard-perfect Pushkar Lake provides an ideal setting to the Pushkar Mela. According to the legends and faiths of Hindu devotees all the Gods visit Pushkar for 5 days every year during this religious, spiritual and commercial fair & festivals. It accounts unbelievable number of devotees, buyers, sellers and foreign tourists during this festival.
